Matching bridesmaid hair doesn't need a stylist per person. Soft curls are easy to repeat across a group, flatter every face shape and look cohesive in photos — especially when everyone uses the same tool and method.

How to do soft bridesmaid curls: step by step

  1. Wash the night before. Second-day hair holds curls better than freshly washed.
  2. Prep. Detangle, heat protectant, and a light texture spray on fine hair.
  3. Curl in small sections. Alternate directions for softness; curl away from the face at the front.
  4. Pin to cool. Clip every curl up to cool while you move to the next person.
  5. Release just before photos. Release the clips 30 minutes before the first photos.
  6. Brush through lightly. Fingers or a wide-tooth comb only, for soft, matching curls.
  7. Set. Flexible hairspray; save touch-ups for later.

With several people, a Duo or Trio pack of curlers lets two people curl at the same time — and everyone keeps one afterwards as a thank-you.

Frequently asked questions

How early should bridesmaids do their hair?

Start around four hours before the ceremony for a group of three to four, so everyone can pin and cool.

What hairstyle suits all bridesmaids?

Soft curls — worn down, half-up or side-swept — suit most hair types and face shapes.

Can bridesmaids do their own hair?

Yes. Use the same method and tool for all of them so the looks match.

Try it with cordless tools
